The State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan (UzSAMA) and the World Bank are delighted to invite local and international stakeholders to participate in a special forum focused on Uzbekistan’s privatisation agenda and the transformation of state-owned enterprises.

Taking place in Tashkent on May 27 at 16:00 to 19:00 UST (13:00 to 16:00 CET), the forum will feature presentations from esteemed speakers including:

• Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
• Anna Bjerde, Regional Vice President, Europe and Central Asia Region, World Bank
• Akmalkhon Ortikov, Director of the State Assets Management Agency

Following these presentations, participants will be invited to ask questions and share views as part of a moderated discussion.

This international forum offers a unique opportunity for international stakeholders, including advisors and investors, to learn more about the privatisation of state assets currently underway and the Uzbek government’s efforts to create both a robust regulatory framework and attractive economic conditions for the privatisation process.
