In accordance with the Presidential Decree of April 19, 2024 “On additional measures to reduce the participation of the state in the economy”, the state block of shares in 247 enterprises and 1028 real estate objects are approved for public sales, as well as the initial public offering (IPO) and (or) secondary public offering (SPO) of state shares in 12 large enterprises in the local stock market
In order to accelerate the work on explaining and promoting the essence and meaning of this decree in the regions, on August 16 of this year at 10:00 in Kungrad and at 16:00 in Beruniy districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the State Assets Management Agency (UzSAMA) held a regular “Roadshow” presentation of state assets to be privatized in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in particular, state shares in enterprises, vacant state facilities and land plots.
The events was attended by more than 350 entrepreneurs and investors, as well as representatives of local khokimiyats and large enterprises of the region.
These events was led by the First Deputy Director of the UzSAMA Nodir Xusanov, the Head of the territorial department of the UzSAMA in Republic of Karakalpakstan Makhsud Radjapov, as well as the first deputy khokims of the respective districts.
At the same time, the Roadshow participants were informed about the work done in Syrdarya region during 2023, in particular, 68 state assets were put up for auction by the territorial department of the UzSAMA, of which 48 assets were sold for 14,1 billion.UZS. In addition, 7 282 land plots with the area of 436,0 hectares were put up for electronic online auctions for entrepreneurs and citizens, of which 2 785 land plots with the area of 199,1 hectares were sold for 40,8 billion UZS.
In the past period of 2024, the regional department put up a total of 73 state assets for public sales and sold 77 state assets worth 45,1 billion.UZS. Currently, 132 state assets worth 77,2 billion.UZS are still continuing to be offered for sale.
In turn, in accordance with the 2024 privatization program, 7 assets of the state and enterprises with state participation, as well as 70 real estate objects put up for public sales in Republic of Karakalpakstan were presented to entrepreneurs and participants of the event.
Also, representatives of the UzSAMA explained in detail, both theoretically and practically, the procedures for opening a personal account on the electronic trading platform “E-auksion”, obtaining an online electronic signature and participating in the auction.
At the end of the event, which was held at a high level and lively with questions and answers, appropriate answers were given to a number of questions asked by the participants and mass media representatives, as well as a number of recommendations from local entrepreneurs were accepted.
At the same time, after the Roadshow, a Press Tour to the state assets was organized for the mass media representatives on state assets subject to privatisation, as well as information on the implemented projects by entrepreneurs was provided.
To date, similar events have been held in Fergana, Andijan, Namangan, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Navai, Bukhara, Syrdarya, Jizzakh regions, and will be held in the coming days in all other regions of the republic.
