On September 18 this year in Abu Dhabi at the forum “Business Networking: Abu Dhabi and Uzbekistan” with the participation of representatives of the business community of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the State Assets Management Agency held a presentation on “Privatization - new horizons and opportunities for business”.

Head of Department on preparation for privatization and privatization of state assets Shokhruh Ohunov presented to more than 70 representatives of business communities of UAE the results achieved in privatization in Uzbekistan, future prospective plans, including information on state assets offered for sale and subject to privatization under the relevant privatization programs, as well as explanations of the procedure on their acquisition.

At the same time, the representatives of the State Assets Management Agency held G2B meetings with the leaders of more than 10 large business communities of UAE, including «Watania International Holding», «Confity capital partners» and «Emirates NBD».

During the meeting, it was explained the conditions created in our country for foreign investors, as well as representatives of UAE business were invited to participate actively in privatization processes in Uzbekistan. In turn, representatives of foreign business communities noted that the current privatization program in Uzbekistan has aroused their great interest, and were agreed on further ways of cooperation.
