“UzAssets” joint-stock investment company under the State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan informs about reaching an agreement with Jayhun Ulgurji LLC on sale of 53.94 percent of shares in the authorized capital of Urganch Sharob JSC for 11.5 billion soums.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further accelerate the privatization of state assets" from February 11, 2021 DP-6167, as well as on the basis of international advanced experience and recommendations of the privatization consultant, the share is realized on transparent and competitive terms through an open sale process with the involvement of an international professional consultant.
At the same time, the international company KPMG served as an advisor on privatization, and the international law firm Dentons provided legal assistance.
