A panel session "Sustainable Economic Development: Current Issues" was organized within the framework of the International Week of Partnership Initiatives.

On July 3-7 of the current year, Tashkent hosted the International Week of Partnership Initiatives, which gathered representatives of prestigious international financial and research institutions, consulting companies and foreign experts.

Within the framework of this week, all important areas and directions of our country were widely discussed and a number of events were organized, in particular, a panel session on "Sustainable economic development: current issues" was held.

Marek Grabarek, former Director General of the Ministry of Economy of Poland, was among the foreign experts who spoke at this panel session and highlighted the results of reforms carried out in the field of privatization and corporate governance in Uzbekistan. He also highly praised the approval of the Strategy for Management and Reform of Enterprises with State Participation for 2021-2025 and the Law on State Property Management, as well as the implementation of these documents in practice, as a result of which these sectors were fully coordinated with market mechanisms.

He also noted that the volume of privatization in Uzbekistan has been increasing significantly in recent years, which indicates the creation of great opportunities for the private sector in the country.

Moreover, Marek Grabarek during his interview to the mass media expressed the opinion that the scale of legal, social and economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years is very broad and effective, that their results are reflected in the country already today, and that the growth of Uzbekistan in international ratings is one of the positive results of these reforms.

In particular, with the participation of Marek Grabarek in the building of the State Assets Management Agency, a roundtable meeting was held on the topics "Uzbekistan's privatization program for 2023 and the mechanism of its implementation with the applying of international experience" and "The experience of the European Union, in particular Poland, in the development of a new version of the draft law "On Protection of Joint Stock Companies and Shareholders' Rights". At the same time, perspective economic and social trends in the field of privatization were discussed.

The roundtable meeting was full of interesting questions and comments on economic relations between the two countries, in particular, privatization.
