As previously reported, according to Decree No. 647 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 4 November 2022, the State Assets Management Agency held a selection for 306 members of the supervisory board of 61 companies with the participation of UzSAMA on 20 April 2023.

In the process of selection of candidates, interviews were conducted and applicants with university degree, certificate of qualification in corporate governance, work experience of at least 2 years, candidates with qualification, practical experience, knowledge of legislation, especially in the corporate sphere, were selected as needed.

A total of 758 applications (2.5 times more) were received from applicants, of which 179 were rejected due to failure to meet qualification requirements and 579 were accepted.

Among the applications, 579 candidates met the eligibility requirements:

• Out of 331 applications received, 61 candidates were selected for 105 positions in 21 companies (the results of the selection have been sent to the candidates' personal accounts);
• Due to the fact that 248 applications were submitted for 201 positions of 40 enterprises, but there were no applications from at least 2 candidates for each position, the selection period for 201 positions of these 40 enterprises was extended till June, 23 of this year;
• Proposals have been sent to enterprises with state participation to recommend 105 candidates for state share in the supervisory board of 21 enterprises for the general meeting of shareholders (founders) and their inclusion in the supervisory board.
