Information on the results of open sales process on selling vacant property complex

As previously reported, in accordance with the relevant privatization programs, an open sales process on selling the property complex located at 41 and 42 Buyuk Turon Street, Mirabad district, Tashkent city, with acceptance of applications on the electronic trading platform "E-auksion" was held.

It should be noted that in order to preserve the historical architectural appearance of the exterior of the property complex, the following mandatory requirements have been established in the sales process:

  • strictly not to demolish the former administrative building of the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA) (16-storey building with a chime, Richard Blaise architecture) at 42 Buyuk Turon Street, as well as 4-storey administrative building at the intersection of Bukhara and Buyuk Turon Streets (part from the side of "A.Navoi" theater), and to preserve the historical architectural appearance of the exterior;
  • further, if repair and construction works are necessary, design estimate documentation and repair works should be carried out only in coordination with the Agency of Cultural Heritage.

During the open sales conducted in a competitive environment, proposals for the acquisition of the property complex were received from 6 applicants through the electronic trading platform "E-auksion".

"CENTARA PRO LLC", which offered the best concept design with strict compliance with the established requirements of urban development, as well as submitted the highest price offer among all the proposals received, was recognized as the winner of the sales with a redemption value of 300.0 billion UZS with the payment of investment obligations in the amount of 50.0 million USD.

It should be noted that the buyer's offer exceeds the value determined by an independent appraisal organization.

According to the draft concept submitted by CENTARA PRO LLC, the construction of modern recreation and cultural facilities, including a museum, as well as entertainment facilities, offices and apartments is envisaged on the basis of the property complex.

The results of the open sales of the property complex were approved by the relevant decision of the State Commission for Privatization of State Assets and Coordination of Privatization Processes.

It should be noted that the public is informed about each stage of the sale process of the property complex through the official website of the State Assets Management Agency, and a competitive environment in the sale process is ensured.
