As previously reported, in accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from November 4, 2022 №647, a selection competition was announced for 201 members of the supervisory board of 40 enterprises with the participation of the State Assets Management Agency.

A total of 605 applications were received from applicants, of which 139 were rejected due to failure to meet qualification requirements and 466 were accepted.

Among the applications, 466 candidates met the eligibility requirements:

• Out of 281 applications received, 98 candidates were selected for 99 positions in 18 companies (the results of the selection have been sent to the candidates' personal accounts);
• Due to the fact that 185 applications were submitted for 97 positions of 21 enterprises, but there were no applications from at least 2 candidates for each position, the selection period for 97 positions of these 21 enterprises was extended till September 9 of this year;
• Due to the sale of the state share in the authorised capital of 1 enterprise of Urta Osiyo Trans JSC, the announced selection for 5 positions was canceled.

In the process of selection of candidates, interviews were conducted and applicants with university degree, certificate of qualification in corporate governance, work experience of at least 2 years, candidates with qualification, practical experience, knowledge of legislation, especially in the corporate sphere, were selected as needed.

Proposals have been sent to enterprises with state participation to recommend 99 candidates for state share in the supervisory board of 18 enterprises for the general meeting of shareholders (founders) and their inclusion in the supervisory board.
