In accordance with the Presidential Decree of April 19, 2024 “On additional measures to reduce the participation of the state in the economy”, the state block of shares in 247 enterprises and 1028 real estate objects are approved for public sales, as well as the initial public offering (IPO) and (or) secondary public offering (SPO) of state shares in 12 large enterprises in the local stock market
In order to accelerate the work on explaining and promoting the essence and meaning of this decree in the regions, on August 17 of this year, the State Assets Management Agency (UzSAMA) held a regular “Roadshow” presentation of state assets to be privatized in Khorezm region, in particular, state shares in enterprises, vacant state facilities and land plots.
The event was attended by more than 250 entrepreneurs and investors, as well as representatives of local khokimiyats and large enterprises of the region.
This event was led by the Deputy Director of the UzSAMA Alisher Miraliyev, the Head of the territorial department of the UzSAMA in Khorezm region Shuhrat Raximov, the Deputy khokim of Khorezm region Anvar Davletov.
At the same time, the Roadshow participants were informed about the work done in Khorezm region during 2023, in particular, 89 state assets were put up for auction by the territorial department of the UzSAMA, of which 62 assets were sold for 70,3 billion.UZS. In addition, 1655 land plots with the area of 110,9 hectares were put up for electronic online auctions for entrepreneurs and citizens, of which 1303 land plots with the area of 43,7 hectares were sold for 31,9 billion UZS.
In the past period of 2024, the regional department put up a total of 57 new state assets for public sales and sold 62 state assets worth 110,8 billion.UZS. Currently, 43 state assets worth 170,8 billion.UZS are still continuing to be offered for sale.
In turn, in accordance with the 2024 privatization program, 20 shares of the state and enterprises with state participation, as well as 65 real estate objects put up for public sales in Khorezm region were presented to entrepreneurs and participants of the event.
Also, representatives of the UzSAMA explained in detail, both theoretically and practically, the procedures for opening a personal account on the electronic trading platform “E-auksion”, obtaining an online electronic signature and participating in the auction.
At the end of the event, which was held at a high level and lively with questions and answers, appropriate answers were given to a number of questions asked by the participants and mass media representatives, as well as a number of recommendations from local entrepreneurs were accepted.
At the same time, in the afternoon, a Press Tour to the state assets was organized for the mass media representatives, as well as information on the implemented projects was provided.
To date, similar events have been held in Fergana, Andijan, Namangan, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Navai, Bukhara, Syrdarya, Jizzakh regions and Republic of Karakalpakstan, and will be held in the coming days in Surkhandarya and Tashkent.
