A meeting was held with representatives of the International Monetary Fund

On December 14 this year was held a meeting with a mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which visited our country to discuss the latest trends in economic development and update forecasts. During the meeting the issues of reforming state-owned enterprises and banks, the work done on privatization and further plans, financial reporting of state-owned enterprises were discussed.

Director of the State Assets Management Agency Akmalkhon Ortikov familiarized representatives of the International Monetary Fund under the leadership of the head of the mission on Uzbekistan Yasser Abdih with the main directions of the Agency's activity. In particular, they were informed about the adoption and enactment of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On State Property Management". The Law clearly specifies such issues as who manages state property, who administers it and who participates in its management, as well as defines the specific order of management of state property.

At the same time, it was noted that the processes of privatization of large enterprises are carried out with the attraction of professional consulting companies, and that these processes are used to transfer these enterprises to real business owners who think about the future of the company.

During the meeting it was noted that large-scale work is being done to ensure the principles of openness and transparency. The electronic trading platform "E-Auksion" was given as an example. It was explained to the participants of the meeting that all real estate objects, small shares and enterprises, as well as land plots are sold through this platform. Also, it was noted about the absence of human factor in this platform, which contributes to the growth of trust among the population.

In turn, the IMF representatives were familiarized with a lot of information about the main directions of the State Assets Management Agency's activities.
