The State Assets Management Agency to sell 57.118 % stake in LLC “Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan, Ltd” to the «Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş.»

Tashkent, 6 August 2021 – the State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan today announced that it has reached an agreement to sell 57.118% stake in «Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan, Ltd» LLC (the Company) to «Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş.» (CCI), through its wholly owned subsidiary «CCI International Holland B.V.», for a cash consideration of US $ 252.28 million (the Transaction).

The Transaction has been approved by the State Tender Commission. Completion of the Transaction is subject to certain regulatory approvals.

The Transaction has been organized as an open sale process pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan # UP-6096 dated 27 October 2020 in accordance with best international practices and the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Rothschild & Co acted as financial adviser to UzSAMA, Dentons acted as legal adviser to UzSAMA.

About the Company

CCBU is the largest carbonated soft drinks producer in Uzbekistan operating three production facilities in Tashkent, Namangan and Urgench and a network of warehouses. For the twelve months ended 31 December 2020, the Company generated net profit of UZS 205 billion.
