Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany held a seminar on "German experience in the management and privatisation of state assets"

In cooperation with a delegation headed by Dr. Andreas Kerst, Director of the Department of the Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany which is currently in Uzbekistan, a practical seminar on "German experience in the management and privatisation of state assets" was organised to enhance the institutional capacity of the employees of the UzSAMA.

The seminar was attended by employees of UzSAMA, including representatives of all territorial departments and subordinate structures, as well as representatives of the mass media.

The speakers of the seminar were Dr Andreas Kerst, Director of the department of the German Federal Ministry of Finance, Dr Friederike Frucht, Deputy Director of the department, Dr Berthold Volberg, project director of the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ), and Mathias Nehm, head of Indecon consulting.

Dr Andreas Kerst in his report introduced the event participants with the principles of state asset management of the German Federation, including the main objectives of the Federal code of corporate governance, the legal basis of the Federation's privatisation policy and its types.

The speakers also shared their experiences on the achievements and shortcomings of privatisation in the Federal Republic of Germany, aspects that should be paid attention to and which are important in this process, as well as steps for the transition of state-owned enterprises into a market mechanism.

In turn, this seminar, which raised great interest among the participants, was full of questions and answers and effectively served to improve the professional knowledge of the employees of UzSAMA.
